雪耳湯當然不宜譯成Fungus Tremellae Soup，令一般老外食客摸不著頭腦。

其實西方人對於tremella是何方神聖，每多不甚了了。他們對fungus早存戒心，菜譜上寫Fungus Soup 的話，恐怕但教他們邊啖邊誠徨誠恐，不知會否中毒，那又何必呢。
在他們心目中，mushroom才是無妨放心吃的菌類，所以也是寫進菜譜裡唯一放心的選擇。
